
What is a USSSA World Series?
USSSA World Series events are often the culminating tournament for teams as they finish off their season. World Series typically consist of more than 35 teams that often represent more than a dozen states. Below is the itinerary followed by most World Series:
- Opening Ceremony
- Skills Competition
- 4-5 games of pool play
- Bracket play
Qualifying Procedures
- All teams must participate in a USSSA State Championship
- Certain World Series may require additional USSSA tournament participation
- Contact your USSSA State Director about what World Series you wish to play in
AA World Series
USSSA Baseball has announced 2012 AA World Series dates and locations. USSSA has AA World Series all over the country, ensuring your AA team numerous opportunities to play in a National Tournament. For those teams that strive for the big tournaments, AA teams are allowed to play in multiple World Series.
Other World Series
USSSA Baseball has also announced the rest of their 2012 World Series dates and locations around the same time. These World Series events range from the All-Star/A class to AAA.
USSSA Elite World Series
The Elite World Series will continue with 32 teams in each age group 9-14 for 2012. There will again be a 5 game guarantee. In order to reserve a spot teams must win a USSSA Super NIT.
Global Sports World Series
By participating in a USSSA Global Sports Qualifying Tournament teams will be eligible to compete in a Global Sports World Series. These World Series events are a 6 game gaurantee that takes place Thursday - Sunday.
